Africa Partnerships Manager

Tearfund is hiring an Africa Partnerships Manager to build and manage high-impact partnerships across Africa. Based within our Programme Development Team, you'll play a key role in securing resources and support for our mission to end poverty. Collaborating closely with local and regional teams, you'll work with stakeholders including governments, international donors, UN organizations, and private sector partners to amplify Tearfund's mission and strategic programmes.

In this role you will help identify opportunities for collaboration and consortium building. You'll drive partnerships with a variety of development stakeholders and work with country teams to leverage programme funding. Additionally, you will represent Tearfund in consortium negotiations and ensure strong governance for collaboration efforts.

The ideal candidate:

  • will have experience in partnership development and consortium management within the international development sector
  • will have a strong understanding and specialist knowledge of the African donor landscape having worked extensively in atleast one of the African regions, building partnerships and managing networks
  • will have experience of working with or managing relationships with leading African-based corporations

Location: Africa Region (Remote, with regional travel). Candidates must be based in and have the right to live and work in any African country Tearfund is registered and legally allowed to employ staff. The successful candidate will be required to travel regulary across cluster countries up to 3 months per year.

Salary: Will be market related and based on location.
