Are you an experienced and qualified Assistant WASH Project Office? Tearfund South Sudan has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified Assistant WAH Project Office
The Assistant WASH project Officer is responsible for the direct implementation and supervision of water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion activities in Mingkaman. This includes the operationalization of surface water Treatment (SWAT) systems, rehabilitation of hand pumps, construction of emergency latrines and bathing shelters and the distribution of WASH Non-Food items (NFIs. The AWPO Provides technical oversight, manages field incentives and ensures project delivery aligns with budget allocations and donor requirements.
- Do you have a University degree (Bachelor's) or Diploma in Engineering water Supply and Sanitation engineering or Public Health?
- Do you have experience in implementation and supervision of water supply, sanitation? And hygiene activities.
- Do you have proven in water and sanitation field work?
- Do have knowledge of good practice: SPHERE.
- Do you have experience working with NGOs?
- Do you have Experience in programme management?
- Do you have experience working in humanitarian response?
- Experience in M&E and conducting assessments?
Do you have the below skills/Abilities required?
- Do you have good oral and written reporting skills in English?
- Do you have Excellent communication, report writing skills and facilitation skills?
- Do you have the ability to manage staff in a consultative and supportive manner?
- Do you have Knowledge in Ms-word and Excel?
- Do you have the ability to take command of a situation and make decisions?
- Do you have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Arabic?
- Do you have strong communication and capacity building skills ?
- Do you have a good understanding of the South Sudan WASH Policies and cluster guidelines on WASH quality standard Soft skills for liaising with community leaders, partners, and beneficiaries to gather feedback?
- Do you have good reporting skills

The position is based in mingkaman lake state, South Sudan with frequent travel to our various field bases in South Sudan.
