Church and Community Transformation Officer, Mozambique

Tearfund in Mozambique is seeking to recruit a Church and Community Transformation Officer.
The aim is to promote the integral mission and CCT within church denominations and other Christian organisations in Mozambique for total and sustained holistic transformation of men and women created in God's image.
The role manages and supports Tearfund funded projects implemented by partners, particular Church and community Transformation projects. It works with church and para-church partners in direct implementation of Tearfund funded projects and is responsible for network building and development. It contributes towards Tearfund's corporate vision of seeing all people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential.
Main Purpose of the job:
- To provide programmatic and project management support to partners and church denominations to promote and implement integral mission (IM) using Church and Community Transformation (CCT) Process as a tool.
- To ensure that Church leaders are envisioned, facilitators trained, local churches mobilised and CCT related projects are identified, designed, funded, implemented, monitored, evaluated and reported in accordance with Tearfund's quality standards.
- To be responsible for placing the local church agenda at the heart of Tearfund and partners' work in Mozambique providing support to them in the mobilisation of local churches, partners, church networks to engage in integral mission and capacity building of CCT practitioners.
- To be in charge of the Monitoring & Evaluation of CCT activities, peer learning and exchange on Integral mission among CCT practitioners, including Church leaders.
- To influence, support, learn from, and collaborate with regional and global networks.
- To translate all CCT relevant documents and training sessions from English to Portuguese and vice versa to facilitate access and understanding by church leaders and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will act as Tearfund's representative in the projects and different initiatives with church networks, among church leaders and relevant staff from government and peer agencies and upports partners' work, monitors and evaluates implementation processes on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Tearfund quality Standards and requirements;
Do you have?
- University Degree in Community Development, Business Administration and Management, Entrepreneurship Management, Project Management, Economics, or any other related sProject planning and Management
- Experience in Church history and integral mission
- Proven experience in Church and Community mobilization for the development programmes and projects;
- Ability to Work with church leaders, networking, and mobilisation for corporate activities;
- Donor and government reporting requirements and management;
- Commitment to prayerfully apply biblical principles in all aspects of life.
- Oral and written proficiency in Portuguese and English;
- Ability to gain respect of CEOs of partner organisations, institutional donors and government representatives;
- Ability to work with children and vulnerable adults in an appropriate and safe manner in accordance with Tearfund Safeguarding Policy;

The successful candidate will be offered an Annual Basic Salary of 2,469,674 MZN Annual basic pay.
