Tearfund Ethiopia is looking for a Field Coordinator for its Ethiopian Joint Response(EJR) project in Harar under the direct supervision of Senior Projects Coordinator. The Field Coordinator (FC) will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, delivery, and evaluation of the Tearfund interventions of the EJR project in East Hararghe. A key responsibility of the FC is to coordinate and foster strong relationships with the government, the consortium members Ethiopian Kaleheywet Church Development and Humanitarian Aid Commission (EKHC HADC) and SOS Children's Village Ethiopia.
The Ethiopia Joint Response East Hararghe Field Coordinator is responsible for ensuring target communities effectively utilize high-quality multipurpose cash assistance and protection mainstreaming. This includes managing Tearfund staff in Midega Tola and Harar, aligning with Tearfund's priorities, and efficiently managing resources. The coordinator will also ensure Tearfund is well-represented in consortium, interagencies/cluster meetings and local government with Zonal and Woreda level platforms meetings throughout East Hararghe.
We are looking for candidates with:
- BSc/BA in Social Science, Rural Development Disaster Risk Management, Social Science and related fields of study.
- Minimum five years experience in Project Coordination, Disaster Management and Development works.
- Technical expertise in Multi Purpose Cash and Protection.
- Experience in people management
- Experience of project monitoring at field level and quality report writing
- Proven experience in budget management
- Proven experience working for an INGO

The role is based in Harar with frequent travel to the field.
