Influencing Finance & Operations Officer - SEA

Tearfund is looking for experienced Influencing Finance and Operations Officer for the Southern & Eastern Africa Region who will be based in Zambia. The Influencing Finance and Operations Officer (IFO) will be responsible for providing support in finance, logistics and compliance for the regional influencing staff by ensuring that financial and accounting books are kept in the prescribed manner so as to meet the legislative requirements and support operations, under the supervision of the Quality & Operations Lead.
Additionally, The Finance & Operations Officer will ensure that operational approaches for influencing in the SEA region are effective and in line with organisational procedures and standards - including office management, logistics and security.
Tearfund is Christian INGO working in 50 countries around the world, to lift people out of poverty, using local partners and churches wherever possible.
Do you have experience of:
- Financial management (cash books and petty cash transactions)
- External representation and engagement with stakeholders of different levels
- Admin or operational experience in an NGO (good organisational, scheduling skills and logistics handling)
- Working knowledge in accounting and Finance Policies & Procedures
- Database management and advanced Excel skills
- handling and guard confidential information sensitively and discretely
- Document review & verification
- Compliance with donor rules/regulations and statutory obligation

Please note: This is a fixed term contract of 3 Years based in Lusaka, Zambia, with a possibility of renewal. Applicants must possess the right to live and work in Zambia.

The successful candidate will be offered a Gross Salary of K355,371.00 ZMW Per Annum.
The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
