Tearfund's vision is to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential. We work in over 40 countries, responding to crisis and partnering with local churches to bring restoration to those living in poverty.

To achieve our vision, our 1000 colleagues around the world need to be informed and inspired about who we are and what we do. The internal communications and engagement team plays a central role in ensuring colleagues feel engaged, valued and well informed. We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to head up this team. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the role that internal communications plays in helping Tearfund achieve its vision: driving engagement, strengthening organisational identity and culture, supporting change, enabling dialogue, and keeping colleagues around the world connected to the story they are a part of.

You'll have strong internal communications experience at a senior level, including experience of stakeholder engagement and supporting change initiatives. You will be an excellent communicator, with experience of finding creative and accessible ways to connect with a diverse group of employees around the world. You'll be comfortable and effective in business partnering with our senior leadership team and will be used to acting as a trusted adviser on communications issues.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and talented, digitally savvy employee engagement and communications person with initiative and vision.

All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safe-guarding issues.
