Do you want to join a team of humanitarian logisticians serving Tearfund's programmes and partners, in a varied role which ranges from short term assignments to capacity building? Then this role is for you!

The International Logistics Team have supported Tearfund's response in Bangladesh and Indonesia, worked alongside partners in Nigeria and Jordan, and did training in India, Ethiopia and Mozambique.  They also attended Logistics Cluster trainings; established response preparedness plans and supported Logistics staff across the world.  

Based in our one of our offices in East & Central Africa, you will work closely with your colleagues from across the region. As part of the wider Global Logistics team you will collaborate in sharing ideas and developing resources to continually enhance our logistics services.  

Along with your passion for logistics and your underlying desire to serve, you will thrive on developing relationships with the team's wide range of stakeholders and addressing their logistics concerns. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to think creatively about how to apply logistics policies or create new guidelines as the need arises. You will be happy to travel for up to 50% of working days to work with our operational teams or partners.

The successful candidate will need to have the right to live and work within one of the 6 countries in Tearfund's East and Central Africa region team (i.e.; The Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi)

Please note our preference is that this role will be based out of The Democratic Republic of Congo or Central African Republic
