Tearfund works through the local Church in overseas communities across the world and through churches based in the UK to deliver its vision.

The Speaker Programme Team require someone who is experienced in both Events and Project Management. You will primarily be working on coordinating our annual UK fundraising event tours, and in addition, will over see the project management and creation of our annual speaking resource, used by our volunteer speaker team in churches across the UK. 

The role involves both phone, email and face to face communication, and so the ideal candidate will need to be an excellent verbal and written communicator. Naturally establishing a rapport and developing warm relationships with both internal staff/teams, charity ambassadors, external suppliers/contractors, and church contacts. 

You'll enjoy working to targets, deadlines, and with budgets and be highly organised and motivated. You will find great satisfaction in Project Management and seeing a successful project complete and come to fruition. The ideal candidate will also be very driven and be great at using there initiative and coming up with new innovative ideas. You will set yourself high standards and be a good problem solver. 

In this role, you will also be responsible for developing new initiatives and improving the standards and practices of the Speaker Team. Your influence and input will help ensure a culture of continuous improvements and delivery, as the rest of the team support their volunteer speakers and recruit church speaking engagements for them. 

A passion for fundraising is ideal, as you will feel a great a sense of satisfaction as you influence churches to develop their engagement with Tearfund. The success in recruiting individual Regular Givers to support Tearfund's work, both through the Event Tours and through the Speaking Resource, is your success too, something to celebrated.
